Stock Price: $13.28 • 11/3/26
Herbalife (HLF) sells nutrition shakes and supplements through independent distributors worldwide.
November 2 results showed quarterly sales up 6% and reported profit of $58.8 million as interest costs fell. Higher sales guidance and a discretionary $250 million buyback authorization could bring renewed attention as the fourth quarter unfolds.
With a market cap of approximately $1.4 billion, HLF trades at approximately 6x annualized latest-quarter reported profit. Nine-month earnings fell after a refinancing charge; $1.9 billion of debt far exceeds $409 million of cash. Distributor retention, regulation, currencies and dilution remain risks.
Opinion: HLF appears potentially undervalued if rising nutrition sales sustain cash flow and support share repurchases despite substantial debt and direct-selling risks.
